ABOUT KAYAN

KAYAN' Egypt for trading & Investment established in December 2012 started with SEAT as sole importer for Sales & After-sales services in Egypt. In February 2017 KAYAN Egypt started SKODA after-sales operation and in August 2017 KAYAN EGYPT started SKODA Sales operation with strong dealer network in sales and after sales to cover Cairo, Alexandria and other potential cities in Egypt in order to serve ŠKODA customers.

Mr. Karim Naggar who has more than 30 years’ experience in managing leading automotive brands like Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT and Škoda is the main shareholder in KAYAN with 99.8%.

Founded in 1895 by Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, ŠKODA is one of the world’s oldest car manufacturers, and proudly celebrates over 100 years of production. Based in Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, ŠKODA is now an eight car brand - made up of the Citigo, Fabia, Rapid, Rapid Spaceback, Octavia, Superb, Yeti, Karoq and Kodiaq models.

PRODUCTION PLANTS

The first vehicle left our factory in Mladá Boleslav in 1905 and millions of others have followed it throughout the company’s more than 125 years of existence. The company’s registered office and automobile development department have remained in the company’s home town, but production has also spread to many other places, cities and countries over time.

MLADÁ BOLESLAV

Mladá Boleslav is a hive of technical development. A place where models are crafted and put into full-scale production. The city hosting the company’s production facilities is also home to its headquarters. ŠKODA currently manufactures the FABIA, KAMIQ, SCALA, KAROQ and OCTAVIA models here.

KVASINY

This plant is the baby in ŠKODA’s family of production facilities in the Czech Republic. This is the place where production lines build the company’s flagship – the SUPERB and both the ŠKODA’s SUVs - KAROQ and KODIAQ.

VRCHLABÍ

Since 2012, the Vrchlabí has been turning out highly sophisticated DSG automatic gearboxes for the entire VW Group.

PLANTS ABROAD

In recent years, manufacturing operations have been expanded on other markets, such as China, India, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Algeria. The ŠKODA CITIGOᵉ iV is made at Volkswagen’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia.

MANAGEMENT

ŠKODA AUTO has a sole shareholder, a General Meeting is not held and its powers are executed by this sole shareholder: VOLKSWAGEN FINANCE LUXEMBURG S.A. with its registered seat in Luxembourg, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. SALES RESULTS

ŠKODA maintains a strong position on the markets in Western Europe, as well as in rapidly developing regions, such as Central Europe and China. The model campaign and further internationalization enabled ŠKODA to deliver more than one million vehicles to its customers worldwide in 2019 for the sixth time in a row.
