ALL-ELECTRIC MODELS

Electric-only models are perfect for modern cities on account of their zero emissions, ever-growing range, nimble dynamics and improved spaciousness compared to conventional cars.

THE POWER OF ELECTRICITY (BEV)

Battery electric vehicles rely solely on electric motors for propulsion. They derive their electricity primarily from charging points and store it in powerful battery packs. The key benefits of electric vehicles are that they emit no emissions and run silently.

DRIVING MODES

Besides the standard driving modes, the ENYAQ iV also features the ECO and ECO+ modes, which affect the vehicle settings and are designed to maximise the range. They lower consumption and thereby increase the range by reducing the engine power and curbing the comfort systems, such as air-conditioning.

BRAKE ENERGY REGENERATION

Electric vehicles are fitted with brake energy regeneration. This regenerative braking slows down the car when the brake pedal is depressed and the accelerator is released, and stores the energy that has been recovered back in the vehicle battery. The regenerative braking intensity can be set at multiple levels.

FAST CHARGING

The infrastructure for the operation of electrified vehicles is growing day by day. You can easily charge your batteries at home or on the road with special chargers. DC fast chargers are designed for rapid charging on journeys. For home charging, use AC chargers, including a wallbox to speed up the process.

HYBRID MODELS

Hybrid models combine a classic internal combustion engine with an electric motor and batteries. Depending on the degree of hybridisation, we distinguish between several types of hybrids, including plug-in hybrids.

PLUG-IN HYBRID (PHEV)

Plug-in hybrids combine a classic internal combustion engine with an electric motor which can be recharged from an electrical outlet. The PHEV can be driven in pure electric mode, but the range is limited to 50 to 60 kilometres. The result is low fuel consumption and a quiet electric drive, especially around the city.

MILD HYBRID (MHEV)

The petrol engine of mild hybrid vehicles, which are given the special name of e-TEC, is accompanied by a more powerful battery, an electric motor and part of the on-board electric network energised at 48 V. This enables the car to switch off the combustion engine entirely, for example, when it is travelling at low speed. This results in lower consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions.

A PERFECT COMBINATION

By combining the benefits of electric and conventional cars, you get the perfect drive on every journey with a plug-in hybrid. To commute to work in the city in silence and comfort, use the electric drive. For longer business trips, out-of-town excursions or holidays, you’ll appreciate the petrol engine and tank with a range of up to several hundred kilometres.

DRIVING MODES

The ŠKODA plug-in hybrid models offer three additional modes to take full advantage of all the iV's capabilities. Pressing the E-mode button powers the car purely with electricity. In Hybrid mode, the electronics automatically regulate the interaction between the petrol engine and the electric motor. If you press the SPORT dynamic mode button, the car offers you a maximum power.

BRAKE ENERGY REGENERATION

Hybrid vehicles also recover some of their energy through brake energy regeneration. The special B regime activates brake energy regeneration whenever the accelerator is released, thereby braking the vehicle. Energy is then stored back in the batteries and reused during the journey. This results in lower consumption and reduced CO₂ emissions.

BATTERY CHARGING

A plug-in hybrid’s battery can be charged by the internal combustion engine itself to the required level without the need to stop the car and plug it into the mains. Alternatively, it can be charged from the mains after attaching an AC charging cable to an ordinary power socket or a more powerful ŠKODA iV Charger.

VISION E

The VISION E concept car is the first time we have embodied our vision of zero-emission driving with the highest level of dynamics. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the VISION E is teeming with inventive features both inside and out. Driven by positive energy.

VISION 𝗶V

The all-electric VISION iV provides a preview of our new upcoming model. The four‑door crossover coupé impresses with sporty, emotive lines and exudes a feeling of spaciousness. A dynamic driving experience is ensured by all-wheel drive and two electric motors outputting 225 kW. The car has a maximum range of 500 km in the WLTP cycle.

ŠKODA CITIGOᵉ 𝗶V

The ŠKODA CITIGOᵉ iV is ŠKODA’s first all-electric production vehicle and features an electric motor with a power output of 61 kW. The lithium‑ion battery allows for a range of up to 260 km. When the power runs out, the battery can be recharged to 80 per cent in 1 hour. Zero‑emission and nimble, the ŠKODA CITIGOᵉ iV is a perfect vehicle for modern cities.

ŠKODA SUPERB 𝗶V

The SUPERB iV is ŠKODA’s first production plug-in hybrid model. By combining an efficient petrol engine with an electric motor, it offers particularly eco-friendly mobility without compromising on performance. The flagship model delivers system power of up to 160 kW. The car’s CO2 emissions are less than 33 g/km and the all‑electric range is up to 62 km.

ŠKODA OCTAVIA 𝗶V

The all-new OCTAVIA iV is the second ŠKODA model to be available as a plug-in hybrid. This powertrain features a 1.4 TSI petrol engine producing a total power output of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. With a capacity of 13 kWh (corresponding to a net capacity of 10.4 kWh), the high-voltage lithium-ion battery allows for an electric range of up to 60 km in the WLTP cycle.

ŠKODA OCTAVIA RS 𝗶V

The OCTAVIA RS iV is the first plug-in hybrid in the performance-oriented RS family. It has been fitted with a 1.4 TSI petrol engine and an 85-kW electric motor delivering a combined power output of 180 kW. Its top speed is 225 km/h. In Sport mode the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds. To top it all, the car can run on electricity alone for 60 km.

ŠKODA ENYAQ 𝗶V

The ENYAQ iV is a versatile partner for the daily commute as well as long distances. Its maximum range is 510 km* in the WLTP cycle and it has a superfast-charging capacity of up to 125 kW. The 82-kWh battery, which has a net capacity of 77 kWh, can be charged from 5 to 80 per cent in just 38 minutes* at correspondingly powerful DC charging points.
